Great Customer Service! July 5, 2012
Reviewer: Royce from Huntington Beach, CA
Got the drycase for kayaking in the ocean. Works perfect for what I need. The microphone on my headphones didn't work with the case I got so I wrote an email to the company. They sent out a replacement that day and it now works perfect. I understand every once and a while there can be a problem with a product and they were quick to rectify the situation. Amazing costumer service. I would highly recommend this product.

My third try on waterproof products for iPod July 5, 2012
Reviewer: Melvin Stanforth from North Carolina
Third try does the trick. Many waterproof "bags" for iPod cannot handle the 160gb iPod. This newer version of the iPod Classic with click wheel is thicker than the first versions of the iPod Classic. Looks the same, but IT IS MARGINALLY THICKER. The thicker case plays havoc with the watertight bags on the market. I know, three other watertight bags failed to keep water out when my thicker iPod was in. So pay attention to this as you may want to swim and listen to your big ol' iPod. I love to swim and listen, and to do in-the-water-exercises.

The ability of this bag to withdraw all the air in the bag is unique in my experience. A Valve is fitted for a small rubber bulb which can act to de a reverse pump on the air inside the bag.. This means that all the soft parts of the container collapse around the watertight mechanisms, provides quite a seal against water's demands, namely it is water's demands to get inside through all those tiny openings in a vessel/container. If you buy this bag do experiment with the "suck-the-air-out-system until you are confident that you can make it do its job.
Namely to affect water tight integrity.

Believe me. An old Sailor.

Must have for actually using your iPhone while it July 5, 2012
Reviewer: Mark from California
Very durable, good seal and easy to use. The best part and the reason I bought this case is the headphone feature. I can use regular headphones with the mic or waterproof headphones depending on if I am planning to get wet or not and all without putting my iPhone at risk. This gives me full functionality of my iPhone, I was able to make and receive calls, listen to music, touch sensitivity of the phone is great through the case so texting was easy and pictures come out like the case isn't even there.

I tried both with and without my regular iPhone case and decided to go without for a smaller profile and easier to slide the phone in and out. Once the phone is in you put a vacuum seal on the case but I did find that if you vacuumed it down too much it would hold the big button in once pressed. I was able to adjust volume and lock the phone through the case

Fantastic - Real world testing proved it works July 5, 2012
Reviewer: Joe from Minnesota
I bought this to protect my Ipod when using it with my cooler tube radio. I never expected the ipod to get wet, but i just wanted it for extra protection. Last weekend, we were tubing and hit the 'rapids' when the tube the cooler was in hit a rock and jolted the cooler tossing the ipod and Dry Case into the river. The case was tied via twine to the tubes, via the loop attached to it, so the RCA didn't pull out, so we didn't notice it was in the river. Some time passed and a terrible song came on, and there it was, dragging under a tube. Checked the case after we were done and the insides were completely dry!

DryCASE July 5, 2012
Reviewer: Greg
I got sponsored by drycase at the 2010 Teva Mountain Games in Vail. I used the case and headphones with my iphone for the next month in Colorado in freezing snowmelt rivers all over the state, and back in Maryland after the tour. I have used it at least once a week for about 5 months now and it has kept my phone perfectly dry and functional every time. More than that it lets me listen to music in an extremely wet, rugged environment where i previously was unable to. The headphones are surprisingly good quality, and i find myself using them about half the time now even when im not on the water, when i dont want to mess up my etymotics. Having listened to deadmau5 with perfect clarity while running class V+ should be plenty of testimony to the value you get for your money with this product.

Lost my iPhone4 in the Ocean! DryCase saved the da July 5, 2012
Reviewer: Leroy E. from Colorado
It's true and when I tell the story most people get that odd "what the heck" (edited for content :D) look in their eyes and everyone asks the same question.

"Why would you have your iPhone even close to the Ocean, let along go snorkeling with it!?"

Back story:

We went sailing in Belize March of 2011 and I wanted to take video / photos with my iPhone 4 while either snorkeling, diving or fly fishing. Easy enough, so I researched all my options and came up the DryCase.

One day into our trip we moored at Ranguana Key and I set off for some snorkeling with my DryCase in-tow. After 30 minutes I had seen all I wanted, shot many videos on my iPhone. I placed the DryCase back on its provided lanyard and headed back to the yacht. My Wife and the Captains Wife met me aft when I swam up and I went to grab the case on hanging on my chest.

The nano second I felt for the case I knew...it was gone! I shouted up to my Wife "I lost my phone!" Ever the joker she thought I was pulling her leg, which I unfortunately was not. A few minutes of cussing ensued while most of the crew (my friends) readied their snorkel gear to help in the search.

We had three people snorkeling and one in the dingy pulling another on a rope to cover as much space as we could. After 45 minutes of searching I had to give up...my friends and I were pruney and it was getting late. I arrived at the yacht first defeated with the realization I had just lost a $300 phone. I took one last look down at the approximate spot I was when I first realized I had lost it.

WOOHOO! There it was about 25-30 feet below me! I took one dive down (10 feet) to retrieve it only to have my ears drive a spike through my brain as the pressure got to me. I popped up yelling "I found it!" and within minutes had a more experienced diver (the Captain) grab it.

The Pros:
- Completely water tight; kept my iPhone 4 dry and unharmed for over an hour submerged in the ocean.
- Very clear and great for photography or video under water

The Cons:
- Not so much of a con but a fat. The inside is sticky as to be expected and it takes a bit of work to get your iPhone in.
- The clip looked fine but was not secure enough to hold the case on the lanyard while I swam about 100 yards back to the boat.

Would I:
- Buy this again? Yes...it's a great product.
- Dive/Snorkel with it again? Yes, but I would either hold the case the whole time or make a modification to the clip.

Fabulous Product for my Evo 4G July 5, 2012
Reviewer: John from Seattle
I have an HTC Evo 4G cell phone. I need to have it always with me and available to answer, but I run several times each week. I also like using an app to track my workout and listen to music or streaming radio. Living in Seattle, I needed to protect it from the rain and yet still have it accessible.

The Dry Case is a fabulous product. It keeps the phone dry, while I run in the rain (all winter long/9 months out of the year). I especially like the built-in headset jack. I appreciate that it is a 3-way jack for stereo sound plus the microphone to answer calls. I currently use a Bluetooth headset that is weather & sweat resistant (Motorola S9), but I like the option of switching over to a weather & sweat resistant wired headset without compromising the ability to keep the phone dry (probably the Sennheiser 870i if I do it).

Where has this been!? July 5, 2012
Reviewer: M. Demner from Tampa Bay, FL
I bought one for myself to take on a fishing trip and my kids grabbed it as soon as it was out of the box. I never got it back. It houses both phones and IPods. They used it for water sports from kayaking, canoeing, Jet Ski and even water skiing. My wife uses it when she is lounging on a float in the middle of the pool. She talk on her phone or listens to the IPod which is safely encased in this DryCase. The kids can't get it wet! My youngest can text to her hearts delight through the clear DryCase covering. I can't tell you how many phones my three daughters destroyed at the beach. No more! Thank you DryCase.

A must have for outdoor sports! July 5, 2012
Reviewer: Eva from Atlanta, GA
I can wrap the arm band around my upper arm almost twice. I am not a petite woman, just average sized. I had to use the armband from another case I have. But the product is excellent, so I still giving it 4 stars. I damaged my last iphone when I ran in the pouring rain with it in a different case. I am absolutely confident that no water can enter this case. The price is very cheap for that peace of mind when I run in the rain.

*** UPDATE *** Changed my rating to 5 stars. This company has incredible customer service. They promptly sent me an arm band that fits me perfect. I have been using the product for two months now and I love it. I have run in the rain with my iphone protected in this case, no moisture is able to come inside at all.

Buying another one, 1st one worked so well July 5, 2012
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Pennsylvania
I love using the drycase for my electronics. When I go kayaking at my parents house on the lake it keeps my phone dry, that way I have it with me in case of an emergency. It also works great for my ipod to provide background music to keep me energized to go on to explore the next cove. I am buying another for my husband to use on our cruise in January. He's looking forward to using it to take pictures while we snorkel with the sting rays in Grand Cayman.
